Document Description
Recent drought conditions have reduced the well production such that the District has determined it is necessary to locate additional well sites to maintain adequate public water supplies. To identify locations for new wells that have the greatest potential to produce significant quantities of water without interfering with existing wells, the District evaluated geologic literature and the mapping of sedimentary materials in the area. The District also had an electro-seismic survey, or National Water Survey (NWAS), conducted at the proposed test well site. Based on the data obtained from the field NWAS and the literature review, including geological comparisons and the known yield of existing wells, the proposed test well site for Test Well No. 10 was selected.
