Document Description
All suppliers of domestic water to the public are subject to regulations adopted by the US Environmental Protection Agency under the Safe Drinking Water Act as well as by the California Department of Public Health (Department) under the California Safe Drinking Water Act (Health and Safety Code, Sections 116270-116751), The Department proposes to significantly reorginaze and amend the existing Waterwroks Standard regulation (California Code of Regulations, Chapter 16, Title 22) for the purposes of ensuring an adequate quantity of drinking water to supply any new developments or the expansion of existing water systems and to ensure materials that come in contact with drinking water have been certified pursuant to drinking water materials safety standards.
