Placer County is seeking $45,000 in Sierra Nevada Conservancy Proposition 84 funding to assist with the creation of a Low Impact Development Guidebook to establish a new stormwater management paradigm for Placer County. The funding would also be used to implement LID demonstration (pilot) projects and to have a LID workshop.

The LID Guidebook and workshop will have no effect on environmental resources. The LID demonstration projects will involve landscaping and small-scale hydrologic devices to capture, filters, and infiltrate stormwater runoff. These minor land alterations will not be located wtihin sensitive resource areas and will not involve the removal of healthy/mature/scenic trees.
