Document Description
The Project proposes to upgrade the existing anaerobic digester at the San Andreas Sanitary District's (SASD) wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The project is designed in accordance with and is supplemental to the SASD Facilities Master Plan. The existing digester will be upgraded and continue to treat primary sludge and a separate aerobic digester will be constructed to treat waste activated sludge. A density meter will be added to the primary sludge discharge header to ensure feeding thick primary sludge to the anaerobic digester. Construction will last approximately one year and is tentatively planned from spring of 2015 to spring of 2016.
