Document Description
The SASD Facilities Master Plan consists of the following four principle elements located in four connected project areas:
1. The "WWTP upgrades" (treatment process improvements) will occur within, and adjacent to the existing WWTP and include, among other things, expansion of treatment, storage and disposal capacity to comply with water quality regulations and accommodate new growth in the near term;
2. Installation of three new storage ponds and the excavation/expansion of existing Pond D;
3. Installation of a spray irrigation system and an emergency run-off ditch berm system for water collection and several ground water monitoring wells; and
4. Operational discharge changes including a reduced dilution ratio (from 19:1 to 9:1) for surface water discharge to the North Fork Calaveras River and an extended water discharge period that includes the months of October and May.
