Document Description
The District is proposing to implement a wind energy project that would provide up to 113,000 kilowatt-hours of wind energy power annually to offset some of the electrical demands of the District's wastewater treatment plant operations; thereby decreasing its carbon footprint for energy use consumption. Specifically, The District is proposing to install and operate four (4) 50-kW turbines that would harness renewable wind energy resources and provide total generation capacity of up to approximately 200-kW of renewable electricity. Each of the four turbines would be approximately 100-feet tall and would have a three blade rotor with a diameter of 50 feet. The power generated by the proposed project would be collected and conveyed to a power substations through wires in underground conduits that would be installed as part of the proposed project. The proposed project would be located entirely on the District's wastewater treatment plant property which is within the City of Fairfield.
