Document Description
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) proposes the Cross Connection Controls project to address California Department of Health Services concerns regarding potential contamination along the SFPUC's regional water system. The proposed project would install protective devices to insure the integrity of certain identified value systems. There are 27 sites along the regional water system in Alameda, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties where existing configurations for air/vacuum relief valves and blow-offs create potential cross-connections that must be corrected. The proposed project and its associated construction would not result in the disturbance of land beyond the existing facility footprint areas or require the acquisition of new property.
