The District owns and operates an electric distribution system serving approximately 13,000 residential and commercial customers in Truckee, CA. The electric distribution system consists of 4 substations and approximately 202 miles of 12.47 kV distribution facilities, including about 67 miles of underground distribution cables, over an area about 44 square miles. Capital improvements to the District's electric system are required to provide for load growth, increase system capacity.
