Document Description
The applicant is proposing to upgrade the community potable water system by installing a water treatment plant that would treat water from the California Aqueduct. A new turnout will be constructed where the raw water supply would be pumped and cleaned with a membrane filtration and chloramine disinfection treatment process. The proposed capacity of the treatment facility is 900 gallons per minute or 1.3 million gallons per day. Piping will be installed connecting the water treatment plant to the existing community service district water lines. The previously approved project included commercial storage tanks, which are no longer part of the project.
