The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0026-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Coast Aggregates Inc., represented by Dan Brown. The Project entails three key elements: 1) clearing of the entire property, 2) excavation/surface mining of the property and 3) processing of excavated material at on-site Aggregation Processing Facilities. The construction of the Project will permanently impact 1.62 acres of CDFW jurisdictional streams consisting of Sandy wash, silt, and cobbles sparsely vegetated with individuals of rabbitbrush (Ericameria Nauseosa), Nevada join-fir (Ephedra nevadensis), and creosote (Larrea tridentate). The amendment includes a 9 month extension to complete the mitigation obligations for the project and a revision to the mitigation requirement from enhancement to preservation only.
