Document Description
SWRCB, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The Desert Water Agency has recently constructed a 55 foot diameter by 34 foot high 500,000 gallon welded steel tank. An additional tank will be built on the 1.7 acres plot of land in the future. The easterly and northerly portion of the current tank was painted in an earth tone color. A gravity feed pipe was connected to the tank to a hydro-pneumatic pressure system, with a primary pressure tank, auxiliary pipes, conduits, and pumps. The gravity feed eliminated the need for a booster pump. 27 houses will be served by the gravity feed line and 83 houses will be served by the hydropneumatic pressure system in the Desert Palisades area. The water will be used to provide water for new and existing residents in the eastern Chino Cone area and on Tribal Lands. A water delivery line will be installed along private right of ways to connect the reservoir to the existing reservoirs. Water for system will be provided from groundwater stored in the Whitewater sub-basin. A short paved access road will connect the private street circulation and the reservoir. The property will be fenced and have a gated entrance. The site overlaps .2 acres of the Tribal HCP Mountains and Canyon Conservation Area. The project will provide for the operation of this facility that will serve 110 residential lots and hundreds of acres of Tribal Land.
