Document Description
The demonstration state forests are managed for research and demonstrating sustainable forest management. A key component of facilitating research is having basic data including meteorological data. The project will install 6 research grade weather stations at 6 of the forests. These weather stations consist of a concrete pad (9 sf) for 10-30' tower and each of the 3 guy wires (4 sf). Guy wires are required for 2 of the stations that experience heavy snow loads in the winter.
