Document Description
The project will involve the filling of depressions within the drawdown zone of Lake Oroville that were left from archaeological excavations that took place at Site CA-BUT-84 in the 1960s. DWR proposes to maintain/protect CA-BUT-84 by filling with native soil and crushed rock to the natural contour of the area.

Section 15301 exempts activities related to operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing structures or facilities, not expanding existing uses. Section 15304 exempts minor alterations to land which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees. 15304(c) includes filling earth into previously excavated land with material compatible with the natural features of the site.
