Document Description
The proposed project consists of the acquisition of property, construction, and operation of Fire Station 27 and the Hamner/Schleisman Community Center. Fire Station 27 will be analyzed and constructed as Urban Heavy Fire Station. Urban Heavy Fire Stations are typically staffed by 16 people and have approximately 6,500 square feet of interior space, which includes living areas, offices, a lobby, eight bedrooms, each of which can accommodate two people, bathrooms, a dayroom, a dining area, kitchen facilities, and a gym or other area for exercise. The Community Center will provide day care and preschool services for a maximum of 200 children and will feature a playground, 11 classrooms, restrooms, a large kitchen, a staff lounge, conference/training room, community rooms, closets, and a lobby.
