Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-RIV-28370-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, DPDG Fund XV, LLC as represented by Jason Holt.
The Project is limited to the construction of an outfall structure in Murrieta Creek, the construction of a flow control weir structure along Drainage B, and the fill Drainage C.
Murrieta Creek Outlet.
The proposed outlet structure consists of a reclined concrete plate along the face of the existing slope. Riprap will be placed on top of the replaced fill after the pipe has been installed for slope stability. The riprap blanket will also be placed at the outfall of the pipe to reduce flow velocities exiting the pipe. All improvements will be located within the approximately 20’ wide impact. Trench shoring may also be required given the soil conditions and depths of required excavation. The limits on the shoring in combination with the proposed trench and the proposed slope up to the surface will be just under 20’ width and 60’ length within fish and wildlife resources.
Weir Structure (Drainage B)
The proposed weir structure installation will occur within Drainage A. The limits of the weir structure will be just under 2’ in width and 10’ in length within fish and wildlife resources. The proposed weir structure will be comprised of a permanent 6” thick concrete wall embedded in the ground with a weir outlet for large flows. The weir structure is proposed to hold back low flows for hydrological support of the existing riparian vegetation upstream. All improvements will be located within the approximately 10’ wide impact area.
