The project will reconstruct the existing U.S. 101/State Route 25 interchange; widen U.S. 101 to a 6-lane freeway between Monterey Street and State Route 129; add auxiliary lanes in each direction on U.S. 101 between Monterey Street and State Route 25; extend Santa Teresa Blvd from Castro Valley Road to the U.S. 101/State Route 25 interchane; improve the southbound U.S. 101 off-ramp at State Route 129; construct frontage roads; grade-seperate the Union Pacific Railroad crossing on State Route 25 just west of Bloomfield Ave; and will construct bicyle facilities
