Document Description
The Mammoth Lakes Police Station involves a two-level structure with program elements to accommodate the Police Department's current and long-term needs. The building would provide approximately 13,000 square feet of conditioned space. The first level is proposed below grade and would include a parking lot beneath the building, a vehicle sally port, a bookings area, laboratory, holding cells, and evidence storage area. The building would include office space, meeting rooms, locker rooms, a break room, and a workout room. A police training/community room would also be included on the second level, adjacent to the lobby. This room would be used for large meetings and other community uses. In addition, a 70-foot radio tower with a maximum 20-foot antenna/whip (overall height not to exceed 90 feet) is proposed on the northwest side of the building, adjacent to the sally port entrance.
