Document Description
The South Tahoe Public Utility District will implement a Hypolimnetic Oxygenation System to improve water quality in Indian Creek and comply with total maximum daily load requirements for 5 indicator parameters that received numeric targets. The State of CA Regional Water Quality District, Lahontan Region issued numeric TMDL targets in July 2002 for total phosphorous, dissolved oxygen, Secchi depth, chlorophyll a, and Carlson Trophic State Index with the long-term objective of maintaining the threshold between mesotrophic and eutrophic conditions in ICR.
