Document Description
The project consists of approval by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) prepared by Andersen Environmental, dated September 24, 2014, on behalf of the California Department of Education (CDE). DTSC's approval action is being undertaken pursuant to regulatory authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20 of the Health and Safety Code. The purpose of the RAW is to remediate potential risk to human health and the environment by reducing or eliminating potential exposure to soils impacted by elevated concentrations of chlordane, dieldrin, arsenic, and lead in the Gymnasium and Kitchen areas of the California School for the Deaf - Riverside (CSDR) site (Site). These activities are part of modernization efforts on the CSDR campus.
