Document Description
The Victor Valley Community College District proposes to construct and operate a 1 megawatt wind turbine on its campus. The proposed project would include removal of a temporary meteorological data collection tower, construction of the wind turbine west of the Mojave River, an underground electrical transmission line and improvements of the access roadway to the turbine. The system would consist of a two-bladed wind turbine on a tubular steel tower, and would have a maximum height of approximately 326' measured from the base of the tower to the rotor blade tip at its highest point.
