Document Description
DGS is proposing to build a new main kitchen, renovate 23 satellite kitchens, and create a new retention pond for the entire facility. The project will replace the existing kitchen operation with new food preparation, storage, and delivery facilities to service the residents housed at the Center. The new kitchen will be designed to meet contemporary food handling and preparation standards; the new facility will also meet the new state building code requirements. The new main kitchen building will be designed to replicate the architectural style of existing buildings at the Porterville Developmental Center and the new 96-bed expansion project.
