Document Description
The San Bernardino Valley Enterprise Zone is a joint effort by the cities of San Bernardino and Colton and the County of San Bernardino to facilitate development as provided for in their respective general plans. The project is designed to spur revitalization of depressed areas of the cities and county through a program that provides incentives for development of industrial and commercial businesses within a zone, which concurrently has the benefit of creating jobs for area residents. The Enterprise Zone encompasses approximately 5,698 acres in the City of Colton. Within the City of Colton, 1,494 acres of residential, 980 acres of industrial, 1,448 acres of commercial, 1,211 acres of public facilities, and 565 acres of other land uses are included in the project area.
