Document Description
The proposed project involves the construction of a groundwater extraction and pipeline delivery systems from the Coso Hay Ranch to the water injection system located at the Coso Geothermal Field at China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station. The Project will result in ~59.60 acres of impact to desert tortoise and Mohave ground squirrel habitat, of which 53.5 acres consist of temporary impacts and 6.1 acres consist of permanent impacts. Project-related impacts are expected to result int eh take of Mohave ground squirrel, a species protected by the California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
