- Amador County proposes to eradicate Tamarisk (Salt Cedar) from ~7 miles of Dry Creek. Project activities include the use of hand tools to cut tamarisk growing in the streambed and on the banks of Dry Creek and the chemical treatment (application of Garlon) of all tamarisk stumps. Cut vegetation will be piled and burned. There are ~225 sites in about seven miles of Dry Creek to be treated.
