Reasons for Exemption
Action involves the acquisition of land to maintain, preserve or restore open space and natural conditions since the parcel is situated in a stream environment zone and it is directly contiguous to forest and riparian habitats. Acquisition of the parcel involves negligible or no expansion of the existing uses on the parcel (parking lot and small commercial facility); the parcel will be maintained "as is" with regard to parking and community access to nearby public lands. The existing building on the property, which is not a historic resource, may be demolished in the near future and the ground surface restored to prevent erosion.
