Document Description
Drumm Reservoir is a reservoir approximately 250 feet by 325 feet located on the campus of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo, in San Luis Obispo County. The reservoir is fed by water from the University's irrigation system comprised of several reservoirs. The reservoir is operated by the College of Agriculture's Bioresource and Agricultural Engineering Department through the Irrigation Training and Research Center (ITRC). Current capacity of the reservoir is approximately 12 acre-feet and the original capacity was approximately 15 acre-feet. This project proposes to remove sediment in order to return the reservoir back to the constructed capacity and will not increase beyond this limit. Removal of the sediment is necessary for efficient operation of the facility. Material removed will be temporarily located off site and will be protected from discharging back into the reservoir or other waters of the State.
