Document Description
The objective of this project is to restore upstream fish passage in the South and North Forks of Caspar Creek in Jackson Demonstration State Forest (JDSF) by replacing the existing wooden fish ladders that are deteriorating with new concrete ladders. The project includes the recurring (approximately every fifth year) maintenance task of removing sediment stored behind two weir ponds located immediately upstream of both fish ladders. By doing these two projects simultaneously the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) will minimize disruption to the creek and fish.
