In 2008, the Eastside Union School District proposed to construct and operate a new elementary school in Lancaster to serve students from kindergarten through 8th grades, including special education students. The school facilities are designed to accommodate approximately 1,100 students and 50 staff. Since then the City of Lancaster imposed new conditions for off-site street and utility improvements, including securing the necessary road and utility easements.
