Document Description
The project consists of a phased mining program that would excavate onsite alluvial (sand) materials and transport them to various offsite locations. The project would include three mining phases with each phase mined sequentially to facilitate reclamation. No processing of materials would occur onsite as part of the project. The applicant expects that total production would be 1.5 million cubic yards or 2.25 million tons (one cubic yard equals 1.5 tons) of material over approximately 10 years. This rate of extraction would result in a maximum annual production of up to 225,000 tons annually. Final reclamation of the project site is expected to be completed approximately two years following the completion of the last mining phase and is estimated for the end of 2019.
