The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to widen State Route 216 from Lovers Lane to McAuliff Road in the City of Visalia, Tulare County (post miles 1.9 to 2.9). The proposed project would convert the existing highway from a two-lane to a four-lane conventional highway with a median strip. The intersection at Lovers Lane and McAuliff Road would be upgraded with dedicated right-turn lanes and additional left-turn lanes.
