Document Description
The proposed project would seismically retrofit the existing Walker Clinic and Infirmary at the CA Institute for Women from Risk Level V to Risk Level III. The one-story reinforced brick building is comprised of three interconnected but structurally separate sections. Two sections, the Walker Clinic and the Infirmary, are scheduled for seismic retrofit. The Walker Clinic is ~10,600 sq. ft. The Infirmary is ~11,500 sq. ft. Each section of the building is separated by expansion joints. The building was designed and built between 1956 and 1967.
