Document Description
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is statutorily responsible for regulating public water systems and for establishing primary drinking water regulations with which public water systems must comply. CDPH has adopted a primary drinking water standard for perchlorate at a level as close as feasible to the corresponding public health goal placing emphasis on the protection of public health to the extent technologically and economically feasible.

CDPH has determined that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act and further finds that the adoption of the subject regulations does not fall within any exception to categorically exempt projects described in Public Resources Code 21084.
