The project would implement water quality improvement measures along State Route 89 in El Dorado County between Luther Pass and US 50 to comply with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements and address planned water quality improvement identified in the Lake Tahoe Basin Environmental Improvement Program and the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board's 1995 Basin Plan.
