Document Description
The project is to issue a major waste tire facility permit (TPID No. 1464957) to Lakin Tire West, Inc. for its facility located at 15055 Spring Avenue, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670. The major waste tire facility permit will authorize the storage of up to 25,000 waste tires and require those tires to be stored in compliance with the State's waste tire storage and disposal standards and permit conditions intended to minimize potential impacts to public health and safety and the environment. The approval and issuance of a waste tire facility permit is considered a discretionary decision and is therefore subject to the CEQA. The local planning department considered the storage of tires at this location to be an approved use of the property and did not require a conditional use permit prior to the establishment of the business.
