Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to widen State Route (SR) 12 along a 5.9 mile stretch between post mile (PM) 0.0 and PM 3.3 in Napa County, and PM 0.0 and PM 2.6 in Solano County. East of Kelly Road, the project will expand the existing two-lane highway to a four-lane highway. The project will improve safety and reduce traffic congestion by increasing the capacity of SR 12. The project will also minimize head-on accidents by adding a median barrier. Caltrans shall submit to the California Department of Fish and Game (Department) a riparian mitigation planting plan to offset impacts to riparian resources. The Department is issuing Streambed Alteration Agreement # 1600-2009-0271-3 for this project.
