Document Description
Approval of an Amended Remedial Action Plan (ARAP) by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) for the removal of soil contaminated with lead, pesticides, and petroleum hydrocarbons at the Miraflores Housing Development (Site) located in Richmond, California. The ARAP was prepared in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code, Chapter 6.8, Section 25356.1. The ARAP proposes the following new and previously proposed remedial activities: New Remedial Activities " Excavation and off-site disposal of 2,300 cubic yards (yd3) of lead-affected soils at an appropriately permitted disposal facility (Clean Harbor Disposal Facility in Buttonwillow, California or ECDC Facility in East Carbon, Utah) instead of relocating these soils to an on-site location. Retained Remedial Activities " Abatement of lead-based paint and asbestos containing building material prior to demolition.
