Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0087-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Santa Clara Valley transportation Authority, for culvert improvements on Toroges, Agua Fria, and Agua Caliente Creeks. Culvert improvements will be within the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) and Union pacific Railroad (UPRR) right-of-way (ROW) from station 45+00 to station 102+00 in the City of Fremont, County of Alameda (approximately 750 feet west of Warm Springs Boulevard). At Toroges Creek, 39 linear feet of an existing culvert and channel will be reconstructed as a concrete box culvert under the railroad corridor. At Agua Fria Creek, the creek will be realigned and approximately 422 linear feet of existing concrete-lined channel will be converted to enclosed culvert, and 249 linear feet of abandoned concrete channel will be converted to an earthen bioswale. At Agua Caliente 249 linear feet of abandoned concrete channel will be converted to an earthen bioswale. At Agua Caliente, a second culvert will be added roughly parallel to an existing culvert to increase flood flow capapcity.
