Document Description
Shasta Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation proposes to use an existing residence and accessory structures as the organization's headquarters, rehabilitation facility, and caretaker's residence. The organization cares for a variety of injured birds and small mammal species in order to return them to the wild once rehabilitated. Animals that are not able to be returned to the wild are euthanized. Improvements are limited to conversions and interior remodels of existing structures to suit the proposed use, with the exception of the addition of a caretaker's residence to the existing residential building, a 7,400 square foot barn-like structure to serve as a raptor aviary, and fencing for a small mammal pen.
