The project contains pedestrian improvements and projects that include signal timing, countdown signal, lighting, trail crossings, midblock crossings, sidewalk obstruction removal, pedestrian districts, alley conversions, safe routes to school, transit, sidewalks/walkways, and pathways. One high priority component of the Sacramento County Pedestrian Master Plan is the Howe Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Improvements Project, which will construct active transportation improvements by installing Class II bike lanes, sidewalk infills, signalized mid-block pedestrian crossings, and transit stops.
