Document Description
The Operator proposes to expand the existing Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant (SVWTP) located at 8653 Calaveras Road, in Sunol California 94586 by constructing and operating a new 17.5 million-gallon (MG) treated water reservoir, 3.5 MG chlorine contact tank, flocculation and sedimentation basin, construction of new effluent pipelines within the SVWTP, and a new 78-inch pipeline connecting the new treated water reservoir to the existing 78-inch discharge pipeline. The proposed project will improve treatment reliability by increasing the plant's sustainable capacity to 160 million gallons per day and bring part of the Water System Improvement Program (WSIP). The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2009-0263-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Ravi Krishnaiah/San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
