The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), for the Removal of the Stanislaus Afterbay Dam as required by FERC License No. 2130 for the Spring Gap - Stanislaus Hydroelectric Project, Section 302. The applicant proposes to remove the wood timber-faced and steel support buttresses, wing walls, and structural concrete foundation that constitute the dam.
