Reasons for Exemption
Under Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines, projects that consist of the minor alteration of existing facilities which do not result in an expansion of the existing use. There will be no increase in traffic or in the amount of green, wood, or C&D waste received. Self-haul customers delivering green, wood, and C&D waste will access the shared area via the existing access road. There will be no clearing of vegetation to accommodate this change. The total acreage of the shared area remains the same; actual conditions show the boundaries to be slightly to the east versus what is reflected in the existing maps. The shared area will continue to be used for the receipt and processing of green, wood, and C&D waste. There will be no water quality issues since runoff will flow into the same, existing drainage system. No grading, paving, or removal of trees was conducted to allow for these activities.
