Document Description
Caltrans, in cooperation with the Council of San Benito County Governments and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, is proposing the eventual replacement of 11.2 miles of the existing SR 25 two-lane hwy with a four-lane expressway. A route adoption would require San Benito and Santa Clara Counties to adopt a specific corridor for a future expressway into their General Plans. This Tier I EIR evaluates a proposed route adoption. At this time, there is not a build portion on this project. Tier II environmental documents will be prepared for specific potions of new alignment construction as funding becomes available.
