Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Section 15304
Reasons for Exemption
This project involves minor ground disturbance. The CNDDB was consulted and proposed activities will not result in taking of rare, threatened or endangered plant or animal species as the necessary habitat is not present and/or the proposed treatments will not be detrimental. An archaeological records check and archaeological site survey were accomplished by CAL FIRE staff, including CAL FIRE archaeologist. An archaeologist site was identified and a site record and site map are being prepared. Site avoidance mitigation, which includes field identification of an equipment exclusion zone, will be accomplished prior to heavy equipment activities to minimize any potential impact to this site. Burning under proper weather condition, the establishment of fire control lines, presence of firefighters and equipment on site will minimize the potential for fire escape or hazards to the environment or public.
