Document Description
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission proposes an amendment to and restatement of the Redevelopment Plan for the project for consideration of adoption by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors to: update the goals and objectives for redevelopment of the project area; add new capital improvement projects to the Redevelopment Program; increase the current $20 million limit on the amount of tax increment revenue that may be received from the project area; increase the current $8.5 million limit on the amount of outstanding bonded indebtedness supported by tax increment revenue; and revise and update various text provisions to conform to the current requirements of California Community Redevelopment Law. The Plan amendment would also change the name of the project and project area from "Sonoma Valley Redevelopment Project" to "The Springs Redevelopment Project." The proposed plan amendment and restatement will not include any changes to the land uses, layout of principal streets, population densities, building intensities or building standards applicable to the area. Additionally, the proposed plan amendment and restatement will not contain any extension or renewal of the Commission's power of eminent domain within the project area, which expired in 1996.
