Document Description
The Salt River Ecosystem Restoration Project is a watershed based, ecosystem-scale project with multiple objectives and benefits including habitat restoration and enhancement, water quality improvement, flood alleviation, and carbon sequestration. The project is intended to provide immediate and substantial improvements to the watershed, and to restore natural hydrologic and ecological process to the extent that conditions within the project area can be feasibly maintained with minimal future adverse impacts. Due to the scale and magnitude of the alterations that have occurred within the watershed, adaptive management projects are expected to be required in the future.
