Document Description
A temporary emergency Hazardous Waste Treatment Permit has been granted to the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake (China Lake) to treat by detonation one unexploded WWII era bomb. The bomb is a M117 General Purpose 750 pound bomb containing 400 to 500 pounds of explosive. It was found in a remote area of the Searles Valley approximately one-half mile outside the boundary of the China Lake South Range, five miles east southeast of the Trona Pinnacies Recreation Area and ten miles southeast of Westend.
