Document Description
Project involves remediation of landfill sites along Markley Creek near Somersville Road, south of Highway 4. The RWQCB has determined that solid waste existing along the north and south banks of the creek within the project area has been discharged and threatens to continue to discharge to the creek in violation of state laws and has issued a Cleanup and Abatement Order. The project involves excavation and capping the waste material within the project area to provide separation from surface water in the creek channel. The affected creek segment will be restored to an alluvial channel and revegetate.
