The Applicant proposes to construct flood reduction facilities at several locations along Permanente Creek from Rancho San Antonio County Park in Cupertino to north of Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, as well as along a portion of Hale Creek. Elements include off-stream flood detention basins at Rancho San Antonio County Park and McKelvey Park, channel improvements to concrete channels in portion of Permanente and Hale Creeks, installation of a floodwall along Permanente Creek from Charleston Road to U.S. Hwy 101, construction of an embankment from Charleston Road to Amphitheatre Parkway, and raising an existing levee north of Amphitheatre Parkway. CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2013-0381-R3 pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Melanie Richardson/Santa Clara Valley Water District.
