The project is to issue a minor waste tire facility permit (Facility No. 36-TI-1532, TPID No. 1001094) to the BJ Used Tire and Rubber Recycling, Inc. (BJ Tire) facility located at 14212 Santa Ana Avenue, Fontana, California. The minor waste tire facility permit will authorize the storage of up to 4,999 waste tires in compliance with the waste tire storage and disposal standards and permit conditions that were designed to prevent negative impacts to public health and safety and the environment. The approval and issuance of a waste tire facility permit is considered a discretionary decision and is therefore subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
